Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Senior Project Manager in the financial sector, based in West Des Moines, Iowa. The role entails a significant focus on finance reporting and process orientation, with a need for a strong background in finance and/or accounting. The successful candidate will be involved in large system implementations or upgrades, and will ideally have previous experience in the insurance or financial industry.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the processing and accuracy of financial reports

• Managing large scale system implementations and upgrades

• Utilizing Agile methodologies in a cross-functional environment to drive project success

• Leveraging Atlassian JIRA for effective project management

• Ensuring the project management processes align with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

• Bringing to bear 6+ years of progressive experience within Project Management

• Applying 2+ years of Project Management experience in a cross-functional Agile environment

• Leveraging knowledge from previous insurance or financial industry roles, if applicable

• Ensuring a strong understanding of Project Management and SDLC processes

• Managing cross-functional project teams to drive project success

• Utilizing Agile product management strategies to deliver project outcomes. Requirements • Proven experience in IT project management

• Proficiency in Atlassian Jira software

• Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies

• Experience working in a Project Management Office (PMO)

• Expertise in Project Management

• Ability to manage cross-functional projects

• Knowledge and experience in Formal Project Management

• Experience in Agile product management

• Understanding and application of Agile methodologies

• Experience in Agile Transformation processes
