Scheduled Hours: Day Shift, rotating weekends
Job Description:
Works under the supervision of the Pharmacy Technician Manager, in collaboration with hospital pharmacists, performing review of patient home medications: Entering and updating the list of these medications assuring appropriate dose, route, frequency and duration of therapy for patients to be admitted thru the Emergency Department or as direct admissions. May perform these duties for ED patients who are treated and released as assigned. Effectively interacts with the patient, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing.
Qualifications:
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) - or obtained within 1 year of hire (at employee expense)
