1 - First Shift
Are you the type of person who wants to help Vermeer inventors protect innovation? In this role you will be responsible for research and drafting of invention disclosures/drawings to support Vermeer technology goals and intellectual property interests. We’re looking for a collaborator with strong technical and communication skills.
What You’ll Do
Review and prepare summaries of inventions, in collaboration with engineering and IP teams. 2. Prepare models, technical drawings, and written descriptions required for invention disclosures and patent applications.
Assist in conducting patent and competitive research.
Preparation of claim charts and other patent analysis as directed by Intellectual Property Counsel/Patent Agent(s).
Assist Intellectual Property Counsel in review of intellectual property positions for the business and assist the Segments’ Engineering and Product Development personnel on how to shape future development.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Agriculture, or Electrical Engineering or other related field with two years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to analyze, prepare and lead discussions and review of product positioning with internal team members.
Ability to draft and prepare detailed, written technical documents.
Ability to liaise with various groups of stakeholders within the business to synthesize complex information into work product.
Travel
- Occasional travel is anticipated.
Work Location
ONSITE: A team member’s day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
