Advatix, Inc. Envelope Adjuster in Mount Pleasant, Iowa

Role Summary

Our client, is a leading company at the forefront of innovative printing solutions and is seeking an Envelope Adjuster. This pivotal role requires expertise in the setup and operation of W+D 527 and/or W+D 627 printing and converting machines. Through shift guidance of Envelope Converting Operators and intra-company departments, you will play a key role in ensuring our production processes run smoothly and efficiently, meeting the high standards our clients expect. This position will report directly to the Pressroom Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

Set Up and Operation:

  • Set up converting equipment in a variety of configurations to meet work order specifications and effectively meet production goals.

  • Independently perform job changes, including window and size changes.

    Quality Assurance:

  • Perform quality inspections to ensure accurate measurements of envelope, window, and flap dimensions.

  • Notify the Supervisor and Quality Control if there is a quality problem.

    Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

  • Execute preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and cleaning of equipment and work area.

  • Maintain adequate levels of glue, ink, window film, etc.

  • Perform preventive maintenance.

    Training and Supervision:

  • Work with and train Envelope Converting Machine Operators in skills necessary to perform efficiently.

  • Inform the Supervisor of inventory issues related to materials.

          Flexographic Printing:

  • Possess knowledge or be willing to be trained in the principles of Flexographic printing on both belly and central impression printing units.

           Safety and Reporting:

  • Fill out production reports including information such as name, date, job number, activity codes, etc., to be turned in at the end of the shift.

  • Work safely to prevent accidents by keeping the area clean and free of any trip hazards, following proper lifting techniques, and keeping all aisles clear.

  • Wear personal protective equipment (hearing/eye protection, etc.) as required.

    Skills and Requirements

  • Previous experience is required

  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in clear business English is essential.

  • Must be highly professional and dependable.

  • Must be capable of bending, kneeling, reaching, standing, and lifting 50+ pounds as needed.

  • Commitment to following all safety rules and procedures, including the use of required safety equipment (earplugs, safety glasses, gloves, etc.).

  • Able to provide basic tools necessary to perform the required responsibilities.

  • Must have the ability to work 12 hour shifts.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and take responsibility for the quality of work produced.

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
