Great River Health Systems Medical Staff Assistant | 40 hours per week | Medical Staff Services in Fort Madison, Iowa

Minimum Hiring Wage:

From $17.17 per hour

Job Details:

Scheduled Hours: Monday - Friday 8am to 4:30 pm.

Remote work possibility.

Travel for meetings to different campuses may be required.

Earlier morning shifts required for monthly meetings as needed.

Job Description:

Provides administrative support to Medical Staff Services and Administration by performing clerical functions such as answering calls, handling information requests and verifications, sending correspondence, preparing for and organizing meetings and taking minutes. Enters data, updates and maintains credentialing software. Maintains current provider roster and documents. Supplements the work of the Medical Staff Manager. Provides coverage in the absence of the Medical Staff Manager.

Qualifications:

High school diploma

Prefer experience or training with Microsoft Office products

Knowledge of clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, Managing files/records and other office procedures and terminology

Previous experience in medical staff services preferred

Knowledge of CIHQ on Accreditation of Healthcare
