Dispatcher
MIDAS Council of Governments seeks a customer service orientated person for our dispatch position.
MIDAS operates two transit systems: the MIDAS Regional Transit systems, which operate in the counties of Calhoun, Hamilton, Humboldt, Pocahontas, and Wright. MIDAS also operates the City of Fort Dodge's small urban transit system, DART, through an agreement with the City of Fort Dodge.
As a dispatcher, you will be using the latest routing and scheduling software, communicating with drivers and working with customers over the phone and in person. The successful candidate will have excellent people skills, knowledge of basic computer operations, ability to work in a fast paced environment both independently as well as a member of a small team and respond to last minute changes. This position works primarily Monday through Friday with occasional hours/days outside of regular schedule.
Pay is $15/hr. This position is covered under the Iowa Public Retirement System (IPERS).
