Perform surveying and platting/mapping duties, usually under the direction of an engineer, of surveyor, and under the survey crew chief, to obtain data used for construction, boundary location, or other purposes. May calculate plat and field data to create plats/maps to show topographical features, boundaries, and other features. May verify accuracy and completeness of plats.
