Material Replenishment Specialist

Location: Dubuque, Iowa

We are hiring a Material Replenishment Specialist for John Deere in Dubuque, Iowa! In this role, you will plan, design, and implement material replenishment processes to support current production, with a focus on lean manufacturing and cost optimization. This position involves managing material replenishment activities for an assigned factory area and collaborating closely with supply management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute material replenishment processes, ensuring efficiency in production and cost-effectiveness.

• Develop and implement strategies for sequencing, kitting, and controlled delivery based on build schedules.

• Manage plans for every part, optimizing storage solutions and replenishment costs.

• Collaborate with Supply Management on order frequency, quantities, and other replenishment parameters.

Requirements

Required Skills:

• 1+ year of experience in Manufacturing and/or Operations.

• 1+ year of experience working in a team environment.

• Experience with engineering tools, systems, and databases.

• Knowledge of line and process design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance, and visual management tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills.

• Experience with SAP Material Flow modules.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Familiarity with Deere Production Systems, Lean Manufacturing, Just-in-Time, and Demand Flow Technology.

• Knowledge of material flow and visual management techniques.

• Understanding of Kanban and other delivery methods.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Business/Management, Engineering/Technology, Supply Management, Accounting/Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
