What You'll Do

We are seeking a seasoned leader to assume the role of AVP of Workplace Savings and Retirement Solutions (WSRS) Technology Operations.

As the AVP of IT for WSRS, your primary focus will be maintaining the high quality and continued excellence of our retirement ecosystem while collaborating with cross-functional teams on advanced projects that propel our technology and business forward.

Your day could look like this:

  • Develop strategic plans for technical infrastructure and business system development that take advantage of technological changes.

  • Break down complex problems and turn them into manageable, actionable components.

  • Communicate and consult with all departments and operating groups to recommend technical solutions and use your expertise to ( manage competing priorities.

  • Direct the planning of software, hardware, and new profitable growth technology changes to optimize business processes and/or operations.

  • Build and foster an environment of transparency. Encourage experimentation, encourage continuous learning and improvement. Build talent and succession plans for key roles.

  • Guide teams in uncovering and addressing root causes, ensuring long-term solutions rather than simply treating symptoms.

  • Lead dynamic, geographically dispersed teams and bring a global perspective to our operations.

  • Collaborate with business partners on building business strategy including recommendations on future technical trends/directions. Build awareness and support education for security and risk to help partners and team members make good decisions.

  • Influence decision-making at the business and enterprise level. Direct systems development processes and strategic plans to take advantage of technological changes.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree (preference in a computer science, technology, engineering or math-related field) or equivalent experience, plus 15 years or more of relevant experience; prefer 10 years or more of leadership experience

  • Excellent leadership, problem solving, analytical, and decision-making skills are required

  • You are relationship focused

Skills That Will Help You Stand Out

  • Deep understanding of retirement plan administration systems and technologies.

  • Experience with cloud computing and data management.

  • Extensive IT and business experience within the financial services industry

  • Experience working with regulatory officials and compliance professionals

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

$174000 - $236000 / year

Time Off Program

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
