We are seeking a self-starter for a Mortgage Consultant position. This role is responsible for assisting members with their mortgage lending needs including analyzing loan requests and making credit decisions based on mortgage lending policy. Key responsibilities may include:
Originating real estate loans. Establishing terms and conditions of an approved loan, and reviewing loan specifications with members.
Establishing mortgage referral sources with real estate offices, realtors, and others within the community.
Cross-selling credit union products and services.
Assembling and organizing documents in loan files.
Qualified candidates will display courtesy, tact, and diplomacy and will have the ability to build relationships and strong rapport with individuals inside and outside the organization. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of three years of related experience.
