Description We are offering an opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Davenport, Iowa. You will be responsible for handling various accounting tasks including managing both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, general ledger entries, and fixed asset classification.

Responsibilities

• Perform various accounting tasks such as entry and reconciliation of both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

• Oversee the classification and maintenance of fixed assets and generate reports using depreciation software

• Post and generate company checks and reconcile all bank statements

• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, Profit and Loss statements, and Monthly Balance sheets

• Generate company-specific financial statements and other reports as requested

• Work closely with the HR department to compile and compute payroll records for employees

• Generate monthly reports and maintain Consignment inventory

• Oversee the annual financial statement audit and tax preparation. Requirements • Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Ability to conduct Bank Reconciliations effectively

• Familiarity with General Ledger management

• Capable of making accurate Journal Entries

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Understands Financial Statement analysis and interpretation

• Skilled in Financial Statement Preparation

• Knowledgeable in Full Cycle Payroll processes

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines

• Knowledge of accounting software and systems

• Current on all accounting regulations and practices.
