Candidates will need to be capable of rising to a variety of challenges while juggling multiple components of a fast-paced environment. This Staff Accountant position is for candidates who can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. In this role, you will perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. What you get to do every single day

• Participate in various department-wide initiatives

• Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

• Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision

• Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable

• Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

• Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation

• Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

• Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules

• Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request

• Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation

• Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation

• Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management

• Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll Requirements - Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

• Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines

• Competent with spreadsheets and databases

• Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Detailed and have the ability work independently

• Proven knowledge of Credit Card Reconciliation

• Well-founded grasp of Daily Reconciliation

• Accounting Entries experience required

• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting cycle

• Deep understanding of general ledger

• Bank reconciliations experience

• Foundational knowledge in Full Cycle Accounting

• Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

• The ideal candidate will be highly-skilled with exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Recent and relevant accounting experience

• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

• Skilled with ERP systems
