Custom Conveyor and Equipment Corporation is expanding its production team by seeking a dependable, experienced problem solver with a positive attitude. Custom Conveyor is a growing, family friendly company whose primary business is designing and building custom conveying equipment and industrial automation machines. Instead of performing repetitive piece work, you will be challenged with new designs from project to project that will require interpretation, conceptualization, and critical thinking to successfully implement. We seek someone with experience in some, or all, of these areas:
- Welding and fabrication
- Mechanical systems assembly and testing
- Electrical systems wiring and debugging
- Pneumatic systems assembly and testing
- Field service or installation of industrial equipment
- Teaching or mentoring others
- Managing hands-on projects
*Common tasks in our shop include: - Reading and interpreting technical drawings (blueprints/prints/schematics) - MIG and TIG welding - Operating a sheet laser, press brake, and horizontal band saw - Occasionally operating a plate roll, bar roll, mill or lathe - Assembling mechanical components according to prints - Wiring and testing electrical systems and controls according to prints - Connecting pneumatic systems according to diagrams - Handling material using a forklift or overhead hoist *Minimum requirements include: - Ability to work on your feet for 9 or more hours in a day - Ability to lift up to 50lb - Ability to use hand tools: wrenches, drivers, pliers, etc. - Ability to measure and compute basic math - Ability to communicate and express ideas in a respectful manner - Maintaining our positive work culture and team environment - Eagerness to expand
