Sodexo is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian to work 16 hours per week for Meth-Wick Community, located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Meth-Wick Community is a Life Plan Community for adults age 55 and older. Residents choose from five styles of living offered on our 68-acre wooded campus; independent living, Independence Plus, assisted living, memory care, and nursing care. Our wellness campus offers the largest range of health care options in the area.

The successful candidate will:

• provide nutritional care to the long-term care residents and sub-acute rehab patients;

• conduct quality improvement initiatives such as test trays and meal rounds;

• meet DOH/state/federal and company standards;

• be an active member of the interdisciplinary care conferences;

• represent the Food & Nutrition Department as a liaison with the medical and nursing staff; and/or

• support the food service operation as needed.

• Registered Dietitian credentials and be licensed in IA;

• prior experience working or interning in a senior living community or hospital;

• strong verbal and written communication skills;

• strong leadership skills;

• excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with seniors to make every day a better day for our residents.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire

Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian
