Responsible for engineering and project administration activities related to specific circuit breaker product families. Perform engineering analyses, including thermal, electromagnetic, dynamic, and structural, using experience applying basic engineering principles. Ensure compliance with specific ratings, product specifications, and standards requirements. Participate in cross-functional teams with Manufacturing, Quality, Marketing, and Procurement functions. Perform methodical problem solving to assist in product line production. Support design activities, such as brainstorming, database management and development, design/peer reviews, and general analysis, including tolerance analysis, using experience with basic machine design. Ensure products meet requirements for Design for Manufacturing (DFM). Assist in root cause analysis by way of the 5 Why and Ishikawa processes.

Experience testing against third party standards, proposing tests, and determining success criteria

Knowledge of material properties, manufacturing processes, and design best practices
Understanding of electronic, electric, and circuit analysis
3-5+ years in a high production manufacturing environment
Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
Bill of Material (BOM) creation, modification, and documentation
Degree or Bachelor’s in Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering (or similar)
Ability to analyze complex problems and present proposals/solutions in a concise manner to a diverse audience
Experience with product development processes, testing and evaluation methods, codes & standards
Knowledge of systems engineering, offer development, and product lifecycle
Identify and assure the right design interfaces between mechanics and electronics
Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00
