Description

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Small Business Controller to oversee our accounting, human resources, and office administration functions. This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, experience in HR, and excellent organizational skills to manage our office administration tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting:

  • Oversee all accounting operations, including A/R, A/P, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts.

  • Manage budgeting, cash flow, and financial planning processes.

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and reporting requirements.

  • Conduct regular audits and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Human Resources:

  • Administer payroll, benefits, and employee records management.

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with labor laws.

  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.

  • Address employee relations issues and support performance management.

  • Coordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and growth.

Office Administration:

  • Oversee day-to-day office operations to ensure a productive and efficient work environment.

  • Manage office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships.

  • Coordinate company events, meetings, and travel arrangements.

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure proper documentation for all administrative activities.

  • Support the executive team with various administrative tasks as needed.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • CPA certification or equivalent is highly desirable.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a solid understanding of HR and office administration.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
