MSA has an opportunity for a
Graduate Engineer II Structural
to join ourbridge design teamat ourCedar Rapids, IAoffice location. You will have the opportunity to see, and contribute in, projects from start to finish. The various projects you'll be working on make a significant and positive impact on the communities you serve.
This position will partner with our experienced team of bridge designers to provide structural design expertise on state and local bridge projects in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa. Our growing team includes experienced and graduate transportation staff in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa, providing you with technical support as well as mentorship for your success.

Responsibilities
The
work you may do
- Prepare structural design calculations for bridges and other transportation structures
- Provide mentorship to graduate engineers
- Perform field investigations to evaluate structural conditions, and develop repair alternatives
- Communicate with clients, agencies, and the public
- Oversee construction of transportation structures
Qualifications
What you bring
Skills and Knowledge / Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering required with an emphasis in structures preferred
- 1+ years of prior bridge design experience preferred
- EIT required
- MicroStation proficiency preferred
- The ideal candidate will have experience designing structures following Iowa DOT Standards
- Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills as well as solid leadership and collaboration skills
- The selected candidate must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future. We are unable to provide or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this role.
