Description:

Performs laboratory technical tasks.

Responsible for the care and maintenance of laboratory equipment.

Assists with receipt and inspection of raw materials, ordering and stocking

Assist with Receipt, identification, and preparation of samples - ensure incoming samples are labeled correctly, appropriate analytical have been requested, prep and analyze samples according to work instructions.

Prioritization of analyses according to customer needs; organization and coordination of multiple projects in a high throughput lab environment; obtaining analytical data; ensuring data integrity; functioning in multi-discipline teams and delivering laboratory results in an efficient manner.

Performance and improvement of various assay techniques, quality control implementation, direct communication with scientists, analysis of quantitative results, reporting results via LIMS/email.

Ensure work is conducted in compliance with safety, compliance, business conduct policies and procedures and demonstrating the Global Breeding values.

Basic knowledge of balances, pipets, record keeping

Reading and understanding standard operating procedures

Various chemistry lab techniques dillution preparation, sample preparation (corn and soybean samples for Molecular Marker Technology)

NIR testing on corn, soybean, various crop samples

Weighing and grinding of samples

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Associate's Degree or its equivalent and 0-3 years of related experience.
