Lauridsen Group Inc. Financial Analyst - APC in Ankeny, Iowa

This position is responsible for delivering value by supporting the management of markets for APC Plasma Products. This position works under the direction of Finance and Global Sales for APC, to achieve goals, standards and objectives. The analyst will also be responsible for operational analysis in support of management decision-making. The individual will conduct in-depth research to identify key financial drivers using operating and economic data, while analyzing, interpreting and reporting findings.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Bachelors degree (Finance or Accounting)

Experience:

  • Two years financial analysis experience, or equivalent relevant time experience.

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.

  • Manufacturing experience preferred.

Other Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses; answering questions and requests.

  • Fosters timely communications with Regional Sales Directors to generate best margin value for movement of global plasma.

  • Facilitates inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and communicating inventory levels and production forecasts.

  • Determines best value product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales pricing.

  • Defines the product strategy and roadmap in close communication with Regional Sales Directors and Senior Product Manager.

  • Manages product portfolio margins, and contribution through a minimum of quarterly analysis and pricing reviews.

  • Create, prepare and continuously enhance meaningful management reporting and analysis of manufacturing operations on an ad-hoc, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

  • Assist with the preparation of the operational annual plans and presentations to stakeholders.

  • Work closely with finance team to forecast financial outcomes by developing reporting tools which incorporate operational forecasts.

  • Assist with detailed monthly and quarterly operational analysis discussions with management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to analyze business trends and product cycles within the identified industry/industries.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with the sales, research, customers, distributors and other business contacts.

  • Ability to handle unexpected situations and complex business challenges.

  • Ability to manage and maintain corporate confidential information as well as customer confidential information.

  • Knowledge of organizational methods and the ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to comply with work related deadlines.

  • Ability to remain calm and professional during peak periods of activities.

  • Ability to operate all necessary office equipment required to accomplish job duties.

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel abilities, utilizing pivot tables, data cubes, and macros.

  • Ability to work daily and extended hours as necessary.

  • Ability to assist with special or ongoing projects as instructed by Management.

  • Ability to travel as required.
